4"H)Pernambuco box with African Blackwood upper pagoda and pernambuco in the drum cut-outs and roof of snakewood topped with a gold-plated bead for the finial. The box is ornmented with a basketwork pattern in the shape of a V, with 19 rows of 20 cuts with the 0.075" square cutter making a total of 380 separate cuts. The cuts taper in to the center of the V creating an emphasis of the V pattern. The square cut-outs in the upper drum expose a layer of pernambuco below. The snakewood roof is fluted.
