(Size: 2 7/8"D x 4 3/8"H)Box of satinwood from Sri Lanka with upper pagoda of African Blackwood topped by a flame finial of gold celluloid acetate. The base is ornamented with a spiral basketwork pattern of 18 rows of 20 cuts with the 0.075" square cutter for a total of 360 separate cuts. The blackwood pagoda drum is inlaid with brass tubing which suggests a porthole or window effect. The roof is fluted and the onion-shaped finial has a chatoyant surface.
