The tower is being held in a 4-jaw chuck. It has been center bored
for the storage space and the faces
have been bored to accept the clock faces. The figured Masur birch has been sawn into
veneer faces which
have been glued onto a mahogany core. The top has been milled with a mortise to accept a
plug from the top
blackwood molding.
