I've been working in wood for over 30 years, and throughout that time,
I have documented my work with 35mm photographic slides. I've taken
many shots of scenes in nature over the years also in 35mm film format.
But acquiring a Nikon E8700 digital camera has increased the quality
of the digitized images I can create, and given me the luxury of taking
many images in the quest of a few good ones. I have delved into macro
photography with this camera, reversing a normal 50mm film camera lens
and experimenting with a focusing stage and closeup lenses. To see some
of my photographs, click an image in the thumbnail index below. They
represent scenes around central Texas in the spring and summer of 2005.
