An Array of Typical Ornamental Cutters

This series of ornamental cutters, as depicted by Evans, are made in sizes from 0.050" to 0.350" in cutting width. A large variety of cut patterns could be executed with this many cutters. Imagine then a Holtzapffel tool box containing in excess of 400 such cutters. The complexity and subtlety then possible is quite mind-boggling. In fact, however, only a few cutters were normally used for most work.
