The bottom has been glued back on to the body and mounted into a
dovetail chuck. The bottom dentil molding
pattern has been finished with blackwood glued into the slots. The drill frame is being
used to cut the slots into
the blackwood underlayer for the top dentil molding. A scrap plug has been placed in the
open end of the
body so as to bring the tailstock up to steady the workpiece.
